Performing Arts Group (P.A.G.)
Valley View Baptist Church Youth Performing Arts Group (PAG)
The Valley View Baptist Church Youth Performing Arts Group (PAG) is our junior high-high school Performing Arts Ministry. We invite junior and senior high students, 6th – 12th grades, to use their God-given talents to glorify Him and minister to others through the performance of contemporary Christian music while integrating dance and sign language. We welcome all students who are interested. This is not a formal choir—just a group of youth and a leader who love contemporary Christian music and want to incorporate it into the worship experience in a way that is meaningful and brings glory to God. There are no try-outs and all who attend are welcome to participate in every performance.
The PAG performs every 4-6 weeks during morning worship and during other worship services by request. The group also performs 5-6 songs during the annual Valentine Banquet to raise funds for youth missions and performs for other local churches when the opportunity arises.
We have expanded to add drama to our ministry by holding a monthly drama group practice where we rehearse skits and monologues for use in youth group, Sunday School as well as morning worship. Currently, the drama team is working on a skit for the church Christmas program.
Rehearsals for PAG are held on Sunday evenings prior to evening worship from mid-August to mid-May. The group takes a break during the summer due to camps, family vacations, and other commitments. Rehearsal times vary due to upcoming performances and are updated regularly through the REMIND101 app. Please feel free to sign up to receive text updates about the PAG by texting @vvbcyouth to 81010. Information will also be available in the church bulletin as well as on the website on the church calendar as well as the youthe calendar.
Check the Youth Activities tab for schedules.
There is no cost to participate. All materials are provided and longer practices will include meals and snacks.
